Resistance: HR Tm3 Moderately early ripening, indeterminate, Hungarian Wax type pepper hybrid with real white, sweet, large hanging fruits of elongated tapered shape. The fruit is thick walled, very regular shaped with wide shoulders. Fruit length is 14-18 cm; it is 6-8 cm wide at the shoulder and weighs 120-160 g. White at harvesting maturity and red at full ripening. Fruit size is kept also by the end of the cultivation season. Product quality is usually extra or sometimes 1st class. It has the greatest fruit size and weight in its type, with an outstanding yield. Moderately strong vigor, medium length of internodes. Roots, branches and the stem are extremely strong. Special stress tolerance and the highest Tm3 level resistance to Tobamo viruses (Tobacco mosaic virus: TMV, Óbuda pepper virus: ObPV, Pepper mild mottle virus PMMoV). It is not susceptible of purpling (anthocyanic coloring). The benefits of its type are ideally composed in this breed. In moderately early forcing, in Hungary, transplantation is suggested from late February to mid-July, with a plant density of 4-4.5 plants/m2, pruned to 2 or 3 branches. In cold equipment (e.g. KITE block) cordon training is recommended, with a similar plant density. For intensive open field production 5-6 plants should be planted per m2 (if possible, applying KITE technology). Etele F1 is the widest shouldered and a superior breed within its type. In addition to its reliable production due to its unique resistance, another of its key benefits is the uniform, especially nice fruit with long shelf life.
