Touareg is one of the most popular salad varieties of the Seminis. It is distinguished by a great adaptability to different agro-climatic conditions. Touareg is resistant to aphid attack (Nasonovia ribisgri), the LMV (Letuce Mosaic Virus) and Bremia lactucae 1-25. The bright light green heads are compact and can reach great dimensions. Touareg shows a good tolerance to cold, being one of the most appreciated varieties for winter cultivation in greenhouses.  Touareg has a good tolerance to the emission of floral stems and to marginal necrosis of the leaves. The leaves of equal size, fine, great color and shape to the heads make the Touareg an excellence variety for fresh marketing. Touareg is recommended for both cultivation in greenhouses as well as in the open field. The recommended density is 80.000-100.000 plants / ha.
