Leopard 5 EC is a herbicide, which achieves an excellent control of problem weeds (perennial grasses), especially of Johnson grass.
Mode of action:
Leopard 5 EC contains the active substance quizalofop-P-ethyl, as an optically active isomer, which has a systemic effect against grasses and is selective for dicots.It is quickly absorbed by the leaves of weeds (in about 2-3 hours) and is translocated to all points of intense growth, including roots and rhizomes. Here, by inhibiting some lipids from the meristematic cells, it causes the death of weeds. Thus, a few days after application, the treated weeds stop growing, the young leaves taking on a yellowish hue. About 2 weeks after application, the whole plant dries up. The effect of the Leopard 5 EC is faster, the younger the weed plant and the more optimal the vegetation conditions for growth (sufficient moisture, heat, light).
Way of ussage:
Leopard 5 EC is a post-emergent herbicide, for combating annual and perennial monocotyledonous weeds. In order to increase efficiency, Leopard 5 EC is recommended to be used in combination with a wetting agent.
