Apollo 500 SC, contact acaricide acting mainly as an ovicide, with effect also on mobile forms in the young stage (larvae) and with long residual activity.
Mode of action:
Apollo 500 SC is a contact acaricide acting mainly as an ovicide, with an effect also on mobile forms in the young stage (larvae) and with long residual activity. When used alone, Apollo 500 SC has no activity against adult spiders. The active substance clofentezine intervenes in cell growth and differentiation during the final stages of embryonic development and the initial stages of larval development of mites. That is why it has no activity on adults, but due to its residual effect, in the case of application on adults, the maximum combating effect can be found after 2 weeks of treatment on the next generation of mites. As with any ovicidal acaricide, it is recommended not to apply more than one treatment with Apollo 500 SC per season, in order to avoid the emergence of resistance.
