Characteristics:
It acts through contact and ingestion, to combat the most widespread pests of agricultural products and stored food. Treated spaces can be grain silos, warehouses of vegetable, fruit or technical plants. The treatment ensures the protection of the stored products for a period of 6-10 months, and the direct application on the grain, before loading into the silos, generates protection throughout the storage period (up to 12 months), without the need for any other intervention.
Cereals treated with K-Obiol EC 25 by direct application can be consumed immediately, without any danger to human health, not requiring the 7-10 day break period that is indicated in the case of organophosphorus insecticides, being, however, recommended to wash them in advance (in the case of vegetables).
A low-pressure sprayer is recommended for direct spray treatment.
Mode of action:
K-Obiol EC 25 is an insecticide formulated as a concentrated emulsion in organic solvents, for the protection of storage spaces (cereal silos, vegetable warehouses). The insecticide has a complex mechanism of action, due to the two active components.
Deltamethrin acts through contact and ingestion, blocks the nerve synapses of insects and transmits nerve impulses to the brain, thus generating instant paralysis and their death. Piperonyl butoxide acts as a synergist, accelerating the action of the main pyrethroid.
The insecticide has a shock effect and offers protection to stored agricultural products for a period of up to 6 months. Stored products treated with K-Obiol EC 25 acquire, after the treatment, a microscopic film of active substance that protects them against further attacks by pests.
The treatment can be carried out both on the surface of the warehouse where the agricultural products are to be kept, as well as directly on the products (for long-term protection) or on the materials in which they are to be stored (bags, boxes, etc.)
Before K-Obiol EC 25 treatment, the storage surfaces must be cleaned of organic residues. The treatment must be repeated for each emptying/filling cycle of the storage space. There is no waiting time after applying the treatment.
